Step 1: First of all, install the Philips Hue bulbs in the ceiling socket and switch on them.

Step 2: Now, open the Amazon Alexa app on your smartphone. If you don’t have the Alexa app, then you can download it from the Google play store.

Step 3: After that, in the bottom-right corner of the app, tap on the “more” button.

Step 4: Then, at the top of the app, tap on the “add a device” option.

Step 5: On the next screen, click on the “light” button. If the “Philips Hue'' option appears on your screen, then you can select that option and skip the next step.

Step 6: Now, tap on the “Philips Hue” option.

Step 7: When prompted if your bulbs are Bluetooth-enabled, you need to tap on the “yes” button. If you select the “no” option, then Alexa will try to connect to the Hue bridge.

Step 8: After that select, the “discover device” option and Alexa will scan for the nearby devices. Try to move your phone as near the Philips Hue light as possible while the app is scanning for the devices.

Step 9: Now, wait for a couple of minutes until the Philips Hue bulbs connect to Alexa.

Step 10: Then, hit the “set up device” option. If some bulbs didn’t connect, tap on the “add another” option and repeat the process to connect the Philips Hue bulbs.

Step 11: If you want to connect multiple bulbs, then you need to tap on the “choose device” button and set up the bulbs individually. If you select the “skip” option, then you can use Alexa to control your smart lights.

Step 12: In the next step, you need to select the room where the light is. If you can’t see the group, then you can tap on the “skip” option.

Step 13: Finally, tap on the continue button on the following two pages, and your Alexa is connected to the Philips Hue.
