Changing Wi-Fi on Alexa using Alexa App

 

First, you have to download the Alexa app on your tablet, smartphone, or iPhone. After this, synchronize the app with your Amazon Alexa account. 

 

Next, open the Alexa app and click “Devices,” presented in the right corner of the primary screen. Here, you will see your enabled Alexa devices. First, you have to choose the Wi-Fi you want to change. Next, choose the Wi-Fi connection and click on “Change”.

 

After this, you will see a screen that asks if the Echo device is plugged in or not. If yes, you will see an orange-coloured light that indicates that the device is pairing with the Alexa app. 

If there is no orange light ring, press and hold the action button with a dot in the center presented on the device and wait for the orange light to appear. 

 

Once orange light appears, it means that the Alexa-enabled device is now ready for pairing. After this, reset the Wi-Fi by choosing the Wi-Fi network you want. Finally, enter the appropriate password for authentication. 

 

 

How Can You Use A Web Browser To Connect Your Alexa With Wi-Fi? 

 

In addition, you can use any web browser on your computer and laptop rather than an app to reset the Wi-Fi on your Alexa device.  

 

First, you have to open the web browser and the site: alexa.amazon.com. After this, sign in to your Amazon account. 

 

Next, go to the “Settings” and click “Set up a new device” to select Echo Dot or Echo. Keep your Alexa device turned on by plugging it into a power source during this process. The orange LED will indicate that the device is powered and set for the pairing. 

 

If you don’t see any orange light, press the echo or action button for six seconds until you see the light that changes its color from orange to blue. After this step, choose the Wi-Fi network on the browser you are using and enter the password to reset or change the connection of Wi-Fi on echo.
