How to set up the Amazon Echo Dot device?

Echo Dot Setup: Steps to follow

Download Alexa App - If you are using the Echo-services for the first time, you probably do not have the Alexa app. Download the application on your device- Android or iPhone. After that, you are supposed to complete the login steps. if you are already using the Alexa application, update it before setting up your Echo Dot device.

Plugin Echo Dot- Using the power cord, plug in Echo Dot. When the Echo Dot device is turned on, the blue ring light with flash. After this, you will see the blue light turning to the orange which means your device is in the setup mode.

Prepare to Add device- In the home screen of Alexa app, check the bottom right corner and look for the option ‘Devices’. You can see a small house shaped icon, click on that icon. Which option will let you know when you can set up the device and also display you the list of devices that your Amazon Alexa is already controlling.

To add your device, click on the Plus sign icon present on the upper right corner of the application. This will display the sub menu asking if you want to add the Alexa. Select 'Add device’ option.

Select the Right Echo Device- Now, Alexa will ask you about the device that you want to set up. Fortunately, you can see a different section displaying the Amazon Echo devices. Go to that section.

From here to see your Amazon Echo Dot device, and continue with the setup steps.

Add Network Information - Now, Amazon Alexa will show you the setup guide. Here you have to provide all the necessary details. The process will not take a long time. If you have not connected your Dot device to a wireless network, then Amazon Alexa will ask you to complete that task first. Connect Echo Dot to WiFI, and get your device online.
If you want to connect your device to the external speakers,  you can also do that.  Otherwise, you can simply ignore the step.
