Restart the device

  • Check and make sure that your Echo device is listening to the voice commands. To test this, you need to check the Blue ring light present on the top of your Echo show device spinning. If it is spinning but not responding, then Alexa is able to hear you but becomes unresponsive. 
  • Disconnect the Echo Show device from the power outlet, and keep it disconnected for at least 30 seconds. 
  • Once you are done with it, reconnect the device again. As long as it is about the wifi settings, it will start working automatically, 
  • Once you reboot the Echo Show for the next 2 minutes, you can use it again. 
  • Ask a question again and see if it responds now.
