- If your Echo dot light is orange, it means your Echo Dot device is not connected to the wifi network. If you see the name of your wifi in the network list, try connecting to the network. If you are unable to see the network name, go to the ‘Settings; and choose the ‘Select Network’ option.
- For all the Echo Dot devices, you need to make sure that you have the network password if required. If you see the ‘Lock’ icon while setting up the network, this means, you will need the network password. This password is different from your Amazon account password.
- If your firmware is outdated, you need to update it.
- By default the router support ‘WPA + WPA2) because of security reasons. If you are still unable to connect Alexa to the wifi, you have to switch the router security either WPA or WPA 2 only. You have to do this if the router allows you to do this.
