Create the Alexa Routine on your Alexa app. Here are the steps to follow:
  • Open the Alexa app, and tap on the Menu option ( you can find this option on the left corner of the application). 
  • Choose ‘Routine’. 
  • Choose the ‘Create Routine’ option. 
  • After that, create the trigger by choosing ‘When this happens’ option. 
  • Here, you will get two options “When you say something” and “At the scheduled time”.
  • For ‘When you say something’ option, you have to add a particular phrase. For this, follow the given instructions: 
    • Click ‘+’ sign and enter ‘Alexa, Good Morning’ phrase. 
    • Click on the ‘Done’ option. 
  • Choose the ‘Add Action’ option and select the action for device control. The action includes, Traffic, Music, News, or activate smart home devices. 
  • For the ‘Add Scheduled Time’ option, you need to mention the specific time. 
  • Choose the time for activating the routine. 
 Solution 3
To solve the ‘Amazon Alexa Routine Not Working’ is that you can add the ‘Smart Home device’ to Routine via the Alexa app. Here are the steps to follow:
  • Open the Alexa app and go to ‘Smart Home Devices’. 
  • Select the device to control. 
  • Choose Action that what task you want your device to do. 
  • Click on the Add option. 
  • Now, you are redirected to the Alexa Routine page where you can add actions to the Routine’. 
  • Click on the ‘Create’ option to complete the routine. 
  • Check the routine of Smart Home devices.
