Amazon’s Alexa is spreading like a blaze and with time introducing more and more incredible features to share an incredible experience with the users. From SmartTVs to Smart lights, there are thousands of third-party applications that tap Alexa for the voice recognition and now the Alexa Echo App is making its way to the smartphone. Gone are those times when the voice search feature was limited to a few phones. Now, to Alexa app, is updated to introduce this feature in the smartphone device.

Alexa Echo App Configuration on the Android or iPhone
You can customize the
way how Alexa works for all your supported appliances or devices by downloading
the Alexa Echo App via a supported app store on your device. If
you are going to experience using the Alexa Enabled device for the first time
then it is worth to personalize a few things as per your convenience.
Click on the
three-line menu icon available at the top-left corner of the Alexa App to
access the mentioned features:
- Music, Video, and Books
Sign in to the
services which you want the Alexa app to use. Remember, the music services are
not compatible presently with the Huawei Mate 9 and HTC U11.
- Lists
In this section, you
can see the items that you have added ( using the voice command) to your to-do
lists and shopping list from the Alexa app.
- All Skills
In this section,
you can enable, browse, and manage thousands of third party application which
extends the functionality of Alexa. Check the applications you have
installed by clicking on the ‘My Skills’ button in the top-most corner of the screen.
- Smart Home
This menu allows
the users to configure the smart home device which they can control using the
Alexa App including the smart TVs, bulbs, security cameras and many more. Click
on ‘Discover’ to find and configure the new service and organize them in
the Scenes and Groups as per your preference.
You can also click on
the Three-line menu icon and choose the Settings option to review the different
Alexa enabled devices, set the location, time zone, and the name of those
devices. Even you can choose your preference for the distance and temperature
measurement units.
Though the updated Alexa
Echo App brings the voice search feature for almost every smartphone
working on Android or iOS platform, still you have to press the microphone icon
for using the feature. In present, the HTC U11, Huawei, and Moto X4
supported the hands-free feature.
This way you can use
the Alexa app on your Android and iOS device without any hassle and enjoy the
smart experience of using the voice assistant.
