Alexa is a smart digital assistant developed by Amazon Inc. The users can use Alexa with the Echo devices and other smart range. The application can help you to get the weather updates, the latest news, play music and a lot more.

The Amazon Alexa app is also available for the Android, iOS and Windows operating systems. While the Android and iOS users can get the Alexa app on their respective application stores, there is no official way to download the Alexa app for Windows 10 application.

Alexa app is being shipped with the selected range of devices like Lenovo, HP, Asus, and Acer laptops. In short, the Alexa app for the computer was out there but not officially available to download or install. But, now the user can download the Alexa app on their Windows 10 PC from the Windows 10 store.

Download the Alexa app for Windows 10:

  •  On your PC, go to the Windows 10 store.
  • Search for the Alexa app.
  • Install the application on your computer by following the on-screen instructions.
  • Go to the start menu and launch the application.
  • Log in to the application by using the Amazon account credentials. If you do not have an Amazon account, you need to create one.
  • If you are residing outside the United States you need to change the system language. As the Alexa app can only support the English (US) language,
  • For the Auto Start feature, you can use an option “Launch the Application on Sign in to this computer” from your Alexa settings.
  • The Alexa installation process will also install the visual c++ 2015 automatically if this is not installed on your computer.

If you want Alexa application to always display on the taskbar of your Window, then go to the ‘Windows Settings’>>” Personalization’>> ‘Taskbar’>> choose the icon appearing on the taskbar ad enable the Alexa.

Which feature does Alexa support and which not?

Unless your computer is supported and you have the custom firmware for the Alexa which is questionable as you can not use the voice command for Alexa’s wake word. You can do it manually, all you need is to press the Blue Alexa button present in the application. Other than this, everything will work fine.

Here, we are sharing the list of voice commands that you can do with the Alexa:
